This summer school will provide a forum for world-class scientists to present and discuss principled approaches to distributed system problems. The school aims at the dissemination of advanced scientific knowledge in the field, but also the promotion of international contacts among participants. To foster this, student participants will be given opportunities to interact and contribute through lectures, break-out sessions, and poster presentations.
This summer school is organized by the Corpore Sano Network, but it is open to everybody. However, selection of student participants will be based on previous experience in computer science as well as future plans.
The event will take place at Sommarøy, a small fishing village outside Tromsø, Norway. Students and lecturers will be accommodated in the Sommarøy hotel with standard hotel accommodation. The location on the edge of the Arctic Sea is on purpose chosen for its isolation to foster interaction among the participants. Yet, the location is centrally located an hour away from the Tromsø Airport serving the main Norwegian international hub Gardermoen outside Oslo. A number of direct flights are also operational between Tromsø and some major European cities.
More information will be provided early fall 2017.
